Get your walking shoes ready! Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging has scheduled the 2nd Annual Age Strong! Live Long! Walk On! one-mile walk in honor of Older Americans Month for Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.

During its inaugural year, the Age Strong! Live Long! Walk On! one-mile walk to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity for older individuals attracted over 770 walkers throughout the 10 counties served by Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging. The walks are free for participants and will once again be held in the communities of Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Waverly, Denver, Independence, Parkersburg, Greene, New Hampton, Grundy Center, Iowa Falls, Eldora, Marshalltown, Grinnell, Brooklyn, Tama and La Porte City. More locations are also being considered for the 2011 walk.
