Family Caregiver Resources
Your
care means so much.
As a caregiver, whether you're an adult caring for a parent, a grandparent
caring for a child or a spouse caring for your mate, you know how much
it means to your loved one. You also enjoy many rewards: companionship,
a sense of accomplishment, the satisfaction of caring for one who cared
for you, helping your family, and promoting the care recipient's independence.
But
it can also be a big commitment.
Sometimes you become so deeply involved in tending to their needs that
you forget your own. Burning the candle at both ends can leave you exhausted,
emotionally stressed or even ill. You may have also lost touch with
other family members and friends, or abandoned your own interests or
hobbies because care giving has consumed all of your time.
You
don't have to do it alone.
We know you are doing all you can to ensure your loved
one can stay
at home. We don't want to take that role away from you, but we can ease
your burden.
